SharkBite 2 Controls

SharkBite 2 uses standard Roblox movement plus a few role-specific buttons that the tutorial only shows once. This page is the keyboard and thumb reference so you are not hunting the boost arrow while a Mako closes.

If you need role strategy, use getting started, how to survive, or how to play as the shark. This page is only inputs.

Survivor boat — PC

• W A S D — throttle and steer. Many hulls drift; tap instead of holding D through a whole island gap.
• Mouse — camera. Dip it under the waterline on purpose. That is a control, not a cinematic.
• Right mouse / click — fire the equipped gun (Roblox tool defaults can vary; if click does nothing, press the tool hotkey first).
• 1–0 / click the tool — swap Flintlock, Thompson, mines, and flares.
• F or the on-screen prompt — enter/exit seats and interact with invites when the UI asks.
• Shift (if enabled in Roblox) — sometimes unused; do not expect a sprint on boats.
• Left-side icons — mute, Twitter bird, gift / Code Rewards. Codes are documented on how to redeem.

Un-flipping a turtled boat is hull-specific. Some yachts need you to leave the seat, swim, and shove. Others recover if you hold steer against the roll. Practice in a quiet lobby, not during a Meg ram.

Survivor boat — mobile

• Left stick — drive.
• Right side fire button — shoot. Place it so your thumb does not eat the camera swipe.
• Jump / green icons — usually not a boat jump; do not spam them hoping for a hop.
• Pinch — zoom out so you can see under the hull.
• Gift / bird — same code path as PC. Landscape mode if the stick covers it.

Mobile jet skis are easier than mobile Frigates. If you cannot steer the warship, you do not have a control problem, you have a boat tier problem.

Shark — PC and mobile

• W A S D or stick — steer. The body already creeps forward.
• Space or the green boost arrow — speed burst, then cooldown.
• Camera — keep the belly of boats visible. Surface only to ram or bite.
• Power buttons — appear on the HUD once purchased. Radar, Ghost, Armour, Clone, Shout, Black Hole all have their own cooldown. Do not bind them to panic.

The first shark session shows this overlay. If you skipped it, this list is the overlay. Species do not change binds; they change how punishing a missed boost is. Stats are on the shark catalog.

Combat extras

Flare Gun (Robux) paints a sky mark for teammates. Bind it only if your crew actually looks up. Naval Mine Trap deploys a few mines with a long cooldown — treat it like a power, not a primary gun. Shop guns and their fire modes (hitscan versus projectile) are on the weapons catalog. Projectile guns need lead; that is aim, not a missing key.

Turrets on builder and shop boats fire with a hold or a click depending on the turret. Sit in the turret seat on purpose. Shooting from the driver seat with a tiny mouse flick is how you miss a 2,900 HP Meg.

Lobby and menus

• Shop tabs: Boats, Armory, Sharks, builder, passes.
• Boat picker: choose hull or wait for invite.
• Event buttons: Egg Hunt and seasonal servers appear on the main menu when live — see events.
• Emotes and signs do not help you steer.

Roblox-wide binds (leave, record, report) still work. Do not remap Space if you ever play shark; you will boost when you meant to jump on a dock.

Accessibility and performance

Lower graphics if water reflections hide the shark. A pretty ocean that you cannot read is a control failure. On low-end phones, disable extra Roblox shadows so the fire button stays at 60 fps. Laggy inputs make every hull feel like Canal Boat.

When a patch adds a new power key, it will show up on the changelog. Until then, the list above is the whole language of SharkBite 2 inputs. Practice them in a two-person crew from the Guides Hub rather than in a 20-player chaos server.
