How to Kill the Shark in SharkBite 2

Turn a 1,200–2,900 HP bar into a win instead of a highlight for the predator.

How to Kill the Shark

Killing the shark is optional in Standard and mandatory for your pride. A dead shark ends the round for every survivor and prints the same ~100 Teeth win plus the satisfaction of deleting a Megalodon. This page is the offensive twin of how to survive. Watch the tank-versus-Meg clip in the middle for timing, then use the text for loadouts.

Know the health you are shooting

Approximate shop health from the shark catalog:

  • Great White 1,200 — free, dies to a coordinated mid-gun lobby.
  • Bull 1,100 — small, easy to miss, easy to shred if you hit.
  • Hammerhead 1,440 / Skele 1,650 / Goblin 1,800 — the “this is taking a while” tier.
  • Mako 1,000 — glass cannon. If you see it, you can kill it; landing shots is the hard part.
  • Orca 2,100 / Mosasaurus 2,500 / Megalodon 2,900 — raid bosses. Solo Flintlock is a joke.

If you do not know the species, assume Meg and play for the timer. Heroing a 2,900 bar with a Paintball Gun is how you donate a boat.

Focus fire beats DPS charts

Three Thompsons on one flank outpace one Shark Blaster that is shooting water. Call a side. Lead projectiles. Stop chasing the head if the body is the only stable target. The weapon tier list ranks Shark Blaster, Rocket Launcher, Harpoon, and Minigun for this job. Hitscan spray is easier from a moving jet ski. Rockets and coconuts want a slower deck or a turret seat.

Reload together, not as a wave. A shark with Armour up is a “hold fire and kite” moment, not a “dump anyway” moment. Powers are listed on the shark playbook so you recognize the glow.

Mines, turrets, and the map

Sea mines are free burst if the shark rams them. Kite along known mine lines from the maps page. Do not become the mine. Naval Mine Trap (Robux) is a planted 150-damage snack; place it on a chase lane, not under your own bow.

Boat Builder turrets add sustained DPS if you respected the equation on the builder guide. Shop uniques — Combat Boat rockets, Military Sub torpedoes, Fin Reaper grapple — are license to stay in the fight longer than a naked Hovercraft. The video above is a tank hull testing that idea against Meg. Notice how they only commit when the shark is already committed.

Mode-specific kills

  • Standard — kill or timer, your choice.
  • Viral Infection — killing the original shark is not enough if eaten players have turned. Prioritize new sharks.
  • Oil Rig / Shark Cage — vertical angles. Shoot down the throat when it breaches the structure.
  • Extraction — a kill still works, but boarding the Chinook is the actual win. Do not lose the helicopter because you wanted a highlight.
  • Pass the Bomb — the bomb can delete a hull you needed for DPS. Pass it before you set up a firing line.

Full rules sit in game modes.

Loadout that can finish a Meg

A realistic public-server kit: Marlin or Wildfire or a defended builder hull, plus Rocket or Blaster, plus one teammate who also brought a real gun. That is expensive. Until then, play for the timer with survive habits and chip damage. The Teeth planner will tell you how many wins a 12,000 Blaster still costs.

Do not buy Ray Gun or Minigun as your first “I will slay gods” purchase if you cannot stay alive long enough to empty a magazine. Survival is a DPS stat.

After you get the kill

Bank Teeth. Do not immediately buy a flex boat. A lobby that can kill sharks is a lobby that can farm. Reinvest in the gun or hull that made the clip possible. Check updates if a patch just changed shark health — numbers on this page follow the last public wiki tables and can drift.

For official channels, use the links hub. For boat picks that survive the return ram, use the boat tier list.

Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers for SharkBite 2 rounds, codes, and shop spends.

Do I have to kill the shark to win?

Not in Standard. The timer is enough. Killing is faster Teeth only when you can do it without wiping.

What gun kills Megalodon fastest?

Coordinated Rockets and Blasters. Solo Flintlock will not get there before the Meg gets to you.

Are sea mines worth kiting through?

Yes if you know the lane. No if you clip them yourself. They chunk shark health for free.

Should I chase a shark under the map?

No. Hold an angle, watch the propeller-side wake, and shoot the body when it commits.
