How to Play SharkBite 2
From the boat picker to your first paid upgrade without wasting Shark Teeth.
SharkBite 2 is an online Roblox round game from Abracadabra. One player becomes the shark. Everyone else spawns as survivors with a boat and a gun. Survivors win if the timer ends or the shark dies. The shark wins only if every survivor is eaten before that timer. That loop has been live since 22 February 2022, so this is a how-to-play page, not a pre-release FAQ.
Your first session should do four things: redeem codes, survive one Standard round, understand invites, and spend Teeth on a gun or a small fast boat — not on Titanic.
The lobby and the boat picker
After you join, you sit in a dock lobby with shops, a map, and other players jumping on rails. When a round is about to start, a boat-select UI appears. You can spawn your own hull or accept an invite onto someone else’s. Shop boats you do not own stay locked. Custom Boat Builder hulls appear if you have saved one.
Free hulls include the Small Wooden Sailboat, Ducky Boat, Billboard Boat, and Fishing Boat. They are slow and fragile. That is fine for learning the camera. It is not fine as a long-term plan. The boat catalog lists speeds in studs per second so you can see why a 105 SPS jet ski feels like a different game from an 80 SPS sailboat.
The 10-second head start
Survivors hit the ocean first. Use those ten seconds to leave the spawn cluster. The shark bursts from an underwater pipe after the cutscene. If you idle in the pile of free boats, you are the first propeller icon the shark sees. Drive toward an island edge or open water where you can turn. Do not floor it in a straight line forever — the shark is usually faster in a sprint.
Read controls if you have not bound boost and camera yet. Mobile players should move the joystick so it does not cover the gift icon you need for codes.
Invites beat hero boats
A solo driver who also aims a Flintlock will lose to a two-person jet ski. One person steers. One person shoots. Three or more on a slow yacht becomes a buffet. Invite one friend, or accept one invite from a competent driver. The survive guide goes deeper on crew size.
If nobody invites you, stay on a small agile boat. A crowded Cruise Ship looks safe and dies in two rams.
First purchases
Survivor wins pay about 100 Shark Teeth. Codes on the Codes Hub add lumps. A sane first hour:
- Redeem every working code.
- Buy Thompson (1,500) or at least Rifle (400) if you are broke.
- Buy a cheap agile boat — Green or Pink Jetski at 800, Hover Bike at 850 — before any party hull.
- If you keep rolling shark, buy Bull Shark (500) or save toward Great Hammerhead (1,500).
Skip Unicorn Boat and novelty tubes until you own a real gun. The Teeth planner and boat compare exist so you can see how many wins a Marlin still costs.
What a normal Standard round feels like
You spawn, drive, watch the water, and either kite the shark or dump magazines into its flank. Moving boats show the shark a blue propeller. Swimmers show a red rhombus — swimming is a last resort, not a strategy. If your hull breaks, swim to a rock or a teammate’s swim platform immediately. The kill the shark page covers focus fire once your lobby actually tries to fight.
Other modes change the win condition. Oil Rig and Shark Cage remove your boat choice. Extraction asks you to board a helicopter after the timer. Skim game modes before you rage at a “broken” timer.
After the first hour
Open the boat tier list before you save 36,000 for Wildfire. Open the shark playbook the first time the tutorial overlay appears. Check events if the lobby button mentions eggs or gifts. That is the whole onboarding loop: codes, one competent boat, one competent gun, then specialize.
Official links and the Discord invite live on the links hub. This wiki is unofficial. Patch surprises belong on the updates hub.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers for SharkBite 2 rounds, codes, and shop spends.
Can I choose to be the shark every round?
No. The game assigns the shark. Play both roles. The shark tutorial appears the first times you are selected.
What is the best first boat in SharkBite 2?
A cheap jet ski or Hover Bike. Speed and turning keep you alive longer than a pretty slow hull.
How much is a survivor win worth?
About 100 Shark Teeth, plus extra for damaging the shark. Codes add one-off lumps on top.
Is SharkBite 2 free to play?
Yes on Roblox. Boats, guns, and sharks cost Shark Teeth or event currency. Some cosmetics and passes cost Robux.
