SharkBite 2 Maps
Lobby, ocean, and the mode arenas that steal your boat.
SharkBite 2 is not an open-world MMO. It is a handful of arenas you will memorize if you live long enough. This page is the callout sheet. Mode rules sit on game modes. Survival pathing sits on how to survive. Shark pathing sits on how to play as the shark.
Lobby island
The dock lobby is where you shop, emote, and wait. A physical map board near cosmetic stands (rubber duck, fins, bait) shows islands and, during hunts, egg marks. NW, NE, and SE islands, a lighthouse, bowling pins, a campfire, and a camper van are the usual doodles. Question-mark icons have historically pointed at easter eggs and year logos. Walk the board before an Egg Hunt so you are not discovering the compass in the last five minutes.
The lobby is also where the code icons live. If you cannot find the bird, you are probably already in a round camera.
Ocean — the Standard map
Rounds drop you onto a tropical archipelago. Survivors spawn in a cluster; the shark later bursts from an underwater pipe / sewage cave. That pipe is the most important callout on the map. If you are a survivor, leave the cluster before the cutscene ends. If you are the shark, do not announce yourself on the first jet ski you see at the mouth — circle, then pick an isolated propeller.
Islands are cover, not bunkers. Tight gaps punish Frigates and Carriers from the boat catalog. Open water punishes sailboats. Sea mines sit in lanes that sharks love to boost through. Learn two mine lines and kite along them when you want free damage for killing the shark.
The in-round radar draws a shark icon relative to those islands. It is late. Your camera under the waterline is early. Propeller icons (boats) and red rhombi (swimmers) are the shark’s version of the same information.
Mode arenas
Oil Rig replaces the archipelago with a smashable platform. Verticality matters. Falling off is a swim death. Shark Cage is a hanging box that becomes debris. Extraction uses the ocean but adds a helicopter window — the pickup heading is the only callout that matters in the last thirty seconds. Viral and Bomb use ocean geometry with extra rules. If you queue those modes on a Wildfire practice night, you may not even spawn the hull. Read the mode page first.
Event servers overlay collectibles on Lobby + Ocean without always changing combat. Do not confuse an egg route with a mine route.
How to practice the map
- In lobby, face the map board and name three islands out loud.
- In a Standard round, drive a cheap ski from getting started and only look under water.
- As shark, spawn and note the pipe, then ignore the first propeller for five seconds.
- Die once on purpose to a mine so you remember the color of the lane.
That is more useful than a 4K fan-made satellite that we are not allowed to hotlink. This wiki uses official downloaded thumbnails as heroes, not a fake SVG ocean.
Related tools
There is no minimap editor here. Boat compare will tell you if your hull can take a gap. Controls will tell you how to look down. Updates will tell you if a seasonal reskin moved a prop. When a new island ships, it will be a changelog sentence, not a new planet.
Play the ocean until the pipe, the lighthouse, and one mine line are muscle memory. Then the tier lists start to matter, because you can finally steer the hull you paid for.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers for SharkBite 2 rounds, codes, and shop spends.
Where does the shark spawn?
From an underwater pipe after the survivor head start and a short cutscene.
Is the lobby the same as the ocean map?
No. Lobby is the dock and shop. Ocean is the Standard combat arena. Events can overlay both.
Do mines move every round?
Lanes are consistent enough to learn. Treat them as semi-fixed hazards, not random grenades.
Why can’t I find my boat on Oil Rig?
That mode strips the normal boat picker. You are on the rig, not the archipelago.
